lyrics

I hear how
Her bone dress rattles –
An eerie dry clatter,
More dreadful than anything I know.
I never saw her
Just the old whispered –
Her face is pecked by birds,
Bloody orifices instead of eyes
Rats gnawed through her cheeks
And nibbled at her once thick hair.
But she didn’t die,
Though her heart doesn’t beat anymore
In her small chest.
Rekken jejwel
Child from a dead settlement,
Daughter of parents hacked apart
From their bones she made her dress
To hide her rotten body
From the sight of skies.
She wandered from village to village
In search of a new family
But the spirits of death follow her –
Now it is our turn…
Rekken jejwel
